Singapore Address Format Guide: 6-Digit Postcodes, HDB Blocks & SingPost Rules
2026-09-21 · US Address Generator
As Southeast Asia's premier commerce hub, Singapore maintains one of the world's most sophisticated and compact postal addressing systems governed by SingPost. With high population density across high-rise Public Housing (HDB) and private condominiums, Singapore addresses feature unique block and floor-unit formatting alongside building-specific 6-digit postcodes.
1. Standard Singapore Addressing Layouts
HDB Residential Address:
Tan Wei Ming Blk 123 Bedok North Road #08-456 SINGAPORE 460123
Commercial / Office Address:
Apex Solutions Pte Ltd 6 Shenton Way #15-02 OUE Downtown 1 SINGAPORE 068809
2. The Floor and Unit Syntax (#08-456)
The hash symbol (#) precedes the two-digit storey number, followed by a hyphen and the unit number. For instance, #04-12 designates 4th floor, unit 12. On two-line forms, place the street line on Line 1 and the unit number on Line 2.
3. Building-Level 6-Digit Postcodes
Singapore's 6-digit postal code system assigns unique codes to almost every individual building:
- First two digits: The sector code (e.g. 01–08 for Downtown Core/Raffles Place, 22–23 for Orchard, 53–55 for Serangoon).
- Last four digits: Directly correspond to the HDB block number or individual property delivery identifier.
4. Local Phone Numbers
Singapore's country code is +65. Numbers are 8 digits long: mobile numbers begin with 8 or 9 (e.g. +65 9123 4567), while fixed landlines start with 6.
